IFAC Young Author Award

Announcement

The Organizing Committee of the 18th IFAC Workshop on Time Delay Systems (TDS 2024) is pleased to announce the IFAC Young Author Award at TDS 2024. The IFAC Young Author Award at TDS 2024 is awarded for the best paper of which the first and presenting author is the main contributor of the research results in the paper and satisfies the eligibility criterion, namely that he/she has the Student status at the time of the final paper submission. The paper must be accepted for inclusion in the TDS 2024 program and must be presented on site by the nominee.

Nomination Procedure

No self-nominations are allowed. Nominations are typically made by supervisors and must

• certify that the nominee is the main author of the paper;
• certify that the nominee has the Student status at the time of TDS 2024 deadline for final paper submission;
• provide a brief description of the contribution of the paper;
• motivate the nomination for the award;
• provide the nominator’s contact information.

Nominations are limited to one paper per nominator. Nominations must be made via the TDS 2024 submission wizard at Papercept: Young Author Award nominations are open until September 20th, 2024.

Selection Procedure

An awards selection committee, appointed by the IPC Chair, selects a number of finalists on the basis of the nomination letters, the review reports and the papers. Finalists are informed before the event. The selection committee selects the winner out of the finalists, after having attended the presentation of all the finalist papers at the event.

Presentation of the Award

The award will be announced and presented by the General Chair at the workshop closing session. The award recipient will receive the IFAC TDS 2024 Young Author Award certificate from the Conference Organizers.
